The park had been set up with several booths and tents for vendors for the first, um, semi-annual Monthly Market. There'd be plenty of areas to shop around and mingle, and it was all cleaned up from yesterday's carnival, really. It just so hapened that the place might get all messed up again really quickly today, too.

Mary had told her that it might be busy today with the alumni's arriving for homecoming. River had put a plate with cookies on the desk for visitors, to make it feel more welcoming. Piper was very grateful when Weevil opened Caritas extra early so she could decorate and set up for Veronica's surprise party.

She was also relieved when Tino informed her that Veronica would be late. Not that she was going to have to work anyway. It's her birthday party after all.
